During my internship in the Department of General Medicine I had the great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and expand my medical knowledge under the guidance of experienced physicians. This department focused on diagnosing, treating, and managing a diverse range of medical conditions affecting adult patients.

Throughout my internship, I actively participated in various aspects of patient care and medical practice, allowing me to develop essential clinical skills and a comprehensive understanding of general medicine.

My learning experience:

 

ICU DUTY:

*Leant to put ryles tube,Abg .

*kept cannulas,blood sampling

*put up about 4 foleys

*Hourly BP monitoring for icu patients 


Ward duty

LEARNING POINTS

*I have attended patients rounds 

*Learnt the importance of hourly monitoring of Bps

*Took attendance for ugs

*Guided UGs about history and examination 

*Importance of urine input and output charting

*I have done exam duties

PSYCHIATRY 

I have taken case history of patients 

During my psychiatry posting have seen different cases ( OCD, SCHIZOPHRENIA, DEPRESSION, ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE) .

My psychiatry experience was very memorable I came to see different patients of different psychiatric disorders I have seen a suicide case who was brought as refferal from emd where the patient comitted suicide just to seek attention from people which appeared very strange to me.
